The Black Crowes say they've issued notices of copyright infringement against Gretchen Wilson , Turner Network Television, Sony BMG and Wilson's publisher, J Money Music.
The band and its legal counsel allege that Wilson and her songwriters wrongfully exploited Chris and Rich Robinson's song "Jealous Again" for her song "Work Hard Play Harder," according to a press release. The infringement notices also claim TNT has further exploited the use of "Jealous Again" by using Wilson's song in advertisements and promotion for the television show "Saving Grace."
"We find the musical verses of Wilson's song to be such an obvious example of copyright infringement that I expect all parties to reach a relatively quick resolution to avoid litigation," the band's longtime manager, Pete Angelus, said in a statement.
A spokesperson for Wilson told CMT News the singer had no comment regarding the allegations.
