Consummate bad boys Vince Neil, Nikki Sixx, Mick Mars and Tommy Lee of Motley Crue wrote the book on the rock 'n' roll lifestyle--literally. Published in 2001 and perfectly titled "The Dirt," the collaborative effort is a tell-all about everything from car wrecks and porn videos to substance abuse and run-ins with the law.

Formed in 1980, the band hit the ground running the following year, selling 20,000 copies of its debut album, "Too Fast for Love." Thanks in no small part to the popularity of MTV, Motley Crue catapulted to fame in 1987 with songs like "Girls, Girls, Girls" and the sexy imagery that went with it. After a few break-ups and reunions, the group released an album in 2004 dubbed "Red, White, and Crue"--now certified platinum and went on tour the following year. The band is scheduled to tour the US and Canada again in February.

LiveDaily's Tim Mosenfelder caught up with the band when they stopped in Oakland, CA, as part of the "Red, White, and Crue" tour in March of 2005, here are some of the photos he took.
