Smashed Kurt Cobain guitar sold for $100,000
A smashed guitar owned by Kurt Cobain recently was sold at auction for $100,000, according to an item posted on RollingStone.com.
The website said Cobain smashed the Fender Mustang onstage in New Jersey during Nirvana's first American tour.
An unidentified curator at the Experience Music Project in Seattle told Rolling Stone, "It's a really cool-looking guitar because it's smashed and held together with duct tape and Kurt Cobain wrote on it."
In 2006, Cobain's Mosrite Gospel Mark IV guitar reportedly was auctioned for $131,000.
