John Mayer 's upcoming four-day music cruise--the "Mayercraft Carrier 2: Even Crafter" voyage--will be preceded by a separately-ticketed concert aboard the ship to benefit VH1's Save the Music Foundation, according to a press release.
The show, dubbed "One Splendid Evening," will be held March 26 on board the new Carnival Splendor while the vessel is docked at the Port of San Pedro in Los Angeles.
The evening will include performances by Mayer, Jordin Sparks, Gavin Rossdale, Sara Bareilles, O.A.R., Guster, Erin McCarley and DJ Logic. The evening will include dinner, an open bar and additional live entertainment throughout the ship.
Proceeds from "One Splendid Evening" will help the Save the Music Foundation restore instrumental music education in America's public schools and raise awareness about the importance of music as a part of a child's complete education, according to the release.
Tickets and additional information about the concert can be found at the event's website.
Mayer's second-annual music cruise, which sets sail March 27, will also feature performances by Mayer, O.A.R., Guster and more than a dozen other bands.
