The Crystal Method returns with guest-filled release

The Crystal Method will release its fourth studio album, "Divided by Night," May 12, according to a press release.

TCM's Scott Kirkland and Ken Jordan are joined on the forthcoming set by She Wants Revenge frontman Justin Warfield, New Order bassist Peter Hook, Metric frontwoman Emily Haines, drummer Samantha Maloney (formerly of Hole and Peaches), Meiko, one-time Grandaddy frontman Jason Lytle, The Heavy, and hip-hop up-and-comers LMFAO.

The album's first single, "Drown in the Now," features a collaboration with guest artist Matisyahu. "We met Matisyahu at a festival in British Columbia last July," Kirkland said in a statement. "His tour manager approached us about him joining us onstage ... and his performance was magical. From there we knew we wanted to work with him. He delivered something unique that helped create a great vibe for the rest of the album."

The Crystal Method will perform its first live show in five years April 17 at the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival in California. The duo also will be highlighting new material with an exclusive DJ set March 21 at La Zona Rosa in Austin, TX, during SXSW.

TCM plans to hit the road this spring for a major national tour in a band configuration.
