Motley Crue rolled out the dates and line-up for the "Crue Fest 2: The White Trash Circus" tour, scheduled to hit amphitheaters throughout the country this summer.
Godsmack , Theory of a Deadman , Drowning Pool and Charm City Devils will accompany the legendary rock band on their second annual excursion, which gets underway July 19 in Camden, NJ. The 30-city trek will crisscross the US twice before the finishing up this fall, with a final performance currently scheduled for September 5 in Darien Lake, NY. Details are listed below.
The announcement today (3/16) coincided with the video debut for the band's latest single, "White Trash Circus," which features members from each of the tour's supporting acts. Sully Erna of Godsmack, Tyler Connolly of Theory of a Deadman, Ryan McCombs of Drowning Pool and John Allen of Charm City Devils were on hand for the press conference, which kicked off with the traffic-stopping arrival of an ambulance containing Motley Crue and a few scantily clad nurses.
Motley Crue bassist Nikki Six said in a prepared statement, "This is what we imagined when we came up with the idea of Crue Fest last summer--putting together the most kick ass bands on one bill for a day of rock. All of the bands on this tour compliment the others--musically, theatrically and passionately."
Sixx and his Motley Crue--bandmates Tommy Lee, Mick Mars and Vince Neil--are celebrating the 20th anniversary of their first No. 1 album, 1989's "Dr. Feelgood," by playing the release in its entirety at each "Crue Fest 2" gig, along with other hits from the group's vast repertoire.
Motley Crue and the guest vocalists are set to perform "White Trash Circus" on ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" March 20.
