Elton John and Billy Joel have added a few new dates to their ongoing "Face 2 Face" tour since last check.
The outing, which kicked off earlier this month, continues tonight (3/26) in Phoenix, AZ. The new dates mostly come during a West Coast leg slotted for November, with two shows scheduled for Seattle (11/4, 7) and an appearance each in Oakland, CA (11/14) and San Jose, CA (11/17).
More shows are expected to roll in periodically, as the trek is planned to run off and on over the next two years.
John and Joel will literally come "Face 2 Face" during their concerts, starting each evening by playing a series of duets with twin pianos and trading vocals. The stars will then perform separately before joining once more for the grand finale, according to a press release. The shows are expected to include some of their greatest hits and a selection of rock-and-roll classics.
While the "Face 2 Face" tour takes a break in April, John will finish his Las Vegas "Red Piano" residency, which has been running since 2004. He'll also pop over to Europe for his own run of shows in June. Details can be found at the superstar's website.
John and Joel first toured together in 1994, and their most recent "Face 2 Face" outing before this year's affair was a sold-out, 24-date trek in 2003. The Grammy winners are the most successful and longest-running concert pairing in pop history, according to a press release.
