Barbra Streisand performs dozens of her hits--including "People," "The Way We Were," and "Funny Girl"--on her upcoming triple-DVD, "Streisand The Concerts," which hits stores April 28, according to a press release.
The first disc in the set features a 2006 sold-out concert in Ft. Lauderdale, during which Streisand performs several songs never-before-seen on DVD, including "Unusual Way" and "When The Sun Comes Out." The disc also features a live collaboration with special guests Il Divo, whose songs "Senza Catene" and "Regressa A Mi" also are included on the new release; the songstress and vocal group perform "The Music of the Night" and "Somewhere." Five bonus songs and interviews with the backstage team that helped create Streisand's record-breaking 2006 North American outing are included, as well.
The second disc contains Streisand's 1994 concert "Live at Arrowhead Pond," which was part of the stage-shy performer's first concert tour in 27 years. The concert marks the first-ever live performances of several songs, including "Lazy Afternoon" and the "Yentl Medley."
The third disc, "Putting It Together: The Making of the Broadway Album," rounds out the collection with an exclusive look at Streisand's nearly half-century career, including a montage of the numerous awards she's received. It also contains video clips from Streisand's childhood and extensive one-on-one interviews in addition to behind-the-scenes footage shot during the recording of the award-winning album.
To celebrate the DVD's US release, CBS Television will air a one-hour special, "Streisand: Live In Concert," April 25 at 8 p.m. (ET/PT).
