Tech N9ne sets out on 'Sickology' tour with Murs

Underground rappers Tech N9ne and Murs join forces later this month to help build support on the road for Tech's latest studio creation, the forthcoming "Sickology 101."

The pair of indie-rap icons will be joined by Short Dawg Tha Native, Krizz Kaliko and Kutt Calhoun on the trek, which kicks off April 16 in Fort Collins, CO, and extends through the middle of June, hitting more than 45 cities during the two-month outing. Details are included below.

The prolific Tech N9ne's most recent studio release, "Sickology 101," is due in stores April 28. The album, featuring guest appearances from Krayzie Bone, Crooked I, Chino XL, Messy Marv, Potluck and a host of rappers from the performer's hometown of Kansas City, MO, follows last year's 2-CD, 32-track "Killer."

In an interview earlier this year with Shockhound.com, Tech N9ne confirmed that his next album, to be titled "K.O.D.," would drop in October, sometime around Halloween.

"This is the first time I've let anybody know what it's called, but I can't let you know what it stands for," he told the website. "We're going to have some kind of guessing game around the album's release to see if somebody can guess what it means," adding that "Sickology 101" is "like an appetizer."

After releasing six independent albums, Murs issued his first major-label studio effort last fall. Released in September, "Murs for President" represented a new challenge in the underground legend's career: sell tons of records.

"This one is for all the marbles," Murs said in his bio. "I've been doing this and if I don't know how to do it by now and I can't make a platinum record, I've failed. If I can't get a Grammy, sell a million records and initiate some type of change in the culture and the music that I love, then it's time for me to step aside."
