Pre-Halloween treat for Voodoo Experience

Organizers the Voodoo Experience in New Orleans are offering specially priced pre-sale tickets for the Halloween weekend event--three-day weekend passes for $103. and three-day weekend LOA Lounge VIP passes for $336., according to a press release. In addition to the discounted tickets, event producers have eliminated all ticket surcharges for the 11th annual event.

"When people buy tickets, they see one price and end up paying a completely different one," Voodoo Experience founder Stephen Rehage said in a statement. "We decided to absorb those fees ourselves so that fans pay exactly what's advertised. We want the Voodoo audience to focus more on what they'll see and hear over Halloween weekend."

The Voodoo Experience celebrates music as well as New Orleans' bohemian culture, arts and cuisine. More than 160 bands are expected to perform in three distinct areas: Le Ritual, Le Flambeau and Le Carnival.

This year's line-up is expected to be revealed in the coming months. Last year's fest featured headliners R.E.M., Nine Inch Nails, Stone Temple Pilots and Lil Wayne.

The specially priced pre-sale tickets are now available at at Ticketmaster.com and at the festival website. (Ticketmaster is LiveDaily's parent company.)
