Hip-hop tour Rock the Bells set for summer

Rock the Bells has announced details regarding the sixth annual installment of the touring hip-hop festival, including the addition of Busta Rhymes , the GZA and the Knux to the lineup.

Previously announced acts include Nas, Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley, The Roots and Common.

The festival trek will kick off June 27 outside Chicago, hitting 10 major markets from coast to coast before the run ends Aug. 9 in Mountain View, CA. More dates will be announced soon, according to a press release. The current schedule is below.

Established in 2004, Rock the Bells brings the nation's hottest hip-hop artists to cities nationwide via the festival circuit. The inaugural year featured a reunited Wu-Tang Clan, just four months before the death of Ol' Dirty Bastard. This year's roster includes Nas, The Roots, Damien "Jr. Gong" Marley, KRS-One and many others.

Along with music, the traveling event will also include KRS-One's Temple of Hip Hop, a space focused on "producing unique fan experiences dedicated to cultivating hip-hop culture by hosting guest speakers, workshops, art displays, lectures, book signings and more," according to festival promoter Guerilla Union.

Ticket information can be found at Guerilla Union's website.
