Paolo Nutini and his back-up band The Vipers will continue the stateside push of the Scotsman's upcoming album, "Sunny Side Up," with a slate of summertime dates.
Following an extensive May tour of the UK, Nutini will begin the US leg July 20 in Amagansett, NY, sticking close to the East Coast for the first half of the 12-city outing, followed by a short trip through the Midwest before finishing up Aug. 3 in Apple Valley, MN. Details are below.
Special guests Erin McCarley and Matt Hires will open the summer shows and, according to a press release, more dates will be announced in the coming weeks.
Nutini's sophomore album, "Sunny Side Up," will surface June 2, though the effort's first single, "Candy," is already gracing mainstream radio nationwide. The Scottish singer spent some time on the West Coast earlier this month in support of the impending release, including a performance at Indio, CA's Coachella Festival.
Nutini's second record follows his successful 2007 debut, "These Streets," which led to two Top 40 hits--"Last Request" and "New Shoes"--as well as a spot on Billboard's 2007 list of European Top 100 Albums.
