Power-pop act Hey Monday will embark on its first-ever headlining tour this summer as the band continues to support its debut album, last year's "Hold on Tight."
The Florida natives kick off the outing June 10 in Phoenix, AZ. The group will have opening support from This Providence, Friday Night Boys, Stereo Skyline and The Bigger Lights on the 28-city tour, which winds around the nation through late July, finally coming to a close July 24 in Houston.
Before launching the headlining run, the band will finish up its current opening duties for Fall Out Boy on a trek that continues tonight (5/1) in Philadelphia, PA. The group's complete schedule is included below.
"Hold on Tight," the band's debut album, surfaced in October in the US, and was recently released in the UK. The set, which was produced by S*A*M (Sam Hollander) and Sluggo (Dave Katz), has spawned a pair of singles so far: "Homecoming" and the recent "How You Love Me Now." The set peaked at No. 11 on Billboard's Top Heatseekers chart.
The album is the first joint-venture release from Columbia Records and Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz's Decaydance Records, according to a press release.
