Cracker chases 'Sunrise' on summer tour

Alt-rockers Cracker will take to the road later this month to begin supporting their just-released new studio album, "Sunrise in the Land of Milk and Honey."

The group kicks off the outing May 15 in St. Louis, MO, and will stay out on the concert trail through August, with dates lined up in 29 cities before the band meets up with sister act Camper Van Beethoven for their annual shared Campout event in Pioneertown, CA. Details are below.

The group's latest album, "Sunrise in the Land of Milk and Honey," surfaced last week. Cracker's 10th studio effort (and first for 429 Records) features guest appearances by Counting Crows' Adam Duritz, Patterson Hood of Drive-By Truckers, and John Doe of X.

Previews of the album's 11 tracks, plus streaming video of the album's new single, "Turn On Tune In Drop Out With Me," can be found at the 429 website.

Cracker's previous studio release is 2006's "Greenland."
