New Kids on the Block have shuffled their spring/summer tour schedule, canceling several dates and pushing the outing's opening date back a week.
The group's upcoming concerts in Birmingham, AL (5/29); Tampa, FL (5/30); West Palm Beach, FL (5/31); Charlotte, NC (6/2) and Raleigh, NC (6/3) have been canceled, while the previously scheduled tour opener in Atlanta, originally set for May 28, has been moved to June 4. On New Kids' website, the group cites "production delays" as the impetus behind the changes to the schedule.
Those holding tickets to the canceled shows should seek refunds from the point of purchase, the group has requested.
The rest of the trek remains fixed for now, with the former teen idols set to hit 29 cities through mid-July. The group has been on the road sporadically since last May, performing sets that go heavy on late-'80s and early '90s hits like "Hangin' Tough," "Step by Step" and "You Got It (The Right Stuff)."
Fans who attend NKOTB's shows will also hear tracks from last September's "The Block," the group's first studio album in 15 years.
