John Legend tacks more dates onto 'Evolver' outing

John Legend has expanded his forthcoming summer run behind "Evolver" for the second time in recent months, tacking on 29 new dates through early fall.

The outing, which gets underway June 27 in Muskegon, WI, now has the singer/songwriter/pianist on the road through the Austin City Limits Festival Oct. 2-4. Stops were added in Milwaukee, WI (6/28); Hollywood, FL (7/9 and 7/19); Indianapolis, IN (7/28); Cleveland, OH (8/1); New York (8/13); Santa Barbara, CA (9/5) and Honolulu (9/12), among others. The full itinerary is below.

The Grammy winner's third studio album, "Evolver," debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart last October. "Green Light," the record's first single, features special guest Andre 3000 on the album, though Legend performed the song at this year's Super Bowl XLIII with T-Pain.

On Sunday (5/17), Legend delivered the commencement address to this year's graduating class of the University of Pennsylvania's College of Arts and Sciences. The Performer, who graduated from PENN in 1999, titled his speech "Finding Your Truth: Living a Soulful Life." A video of the address is streaming at the musician's website.

Legend made Time magazine's list of the world's 100 most influential people of 2009, released earlier this month.

"He is a genius, and we've seen only the tip of the iceberg," legendary producer Quincy Jones wrote in the publication. "For all that he has already achieved in his career, it is going to be fun watching where he goes from here."

Jones and Legend recently collaborated on single "Tomorrow," which will be included on Jones' forthcoming tribute album.
