Jimmy Buffett extends endless summer trek

Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band continue to add new dates to the "Summerzcool" tour, which has already entertained Parrotheads from coast to coast in 2009.

The trek, which continues June 18 in Camden, NJ, also includes a pair of European dates: a July 5 appearance in London and a Sept. 26 concert in Paris. The new North American dates on Buffett's schedule come in November in Orlando, FL (11/14) and Charlottesville, VA (11/17). Details are included below.

The iconic singer/songwriter continues to support his latest studio effort, 2006's country-leaning "Take the Weather With You," which became his second consecutive No. 1 debut on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart. He followed that with a couple of live sets: the three-disc dual CD/DVD "Live in Anguilla" and "Live at Texas Stadium."

Last summer, Buffett also put out the "Scenes You Know by Heart" DVD, which captures live performances of songs from his 1985 multi-platinum set, "Songs You Know by Heart." The DVD includes two bonus cuts: "Hey Good Lookin" and the Grammy-nominated hit "It's 5 O'Clock Somewhere."

Later this year, Buffett plans to release a live, acoustic CD comprising songs he traditionally performs in the final encore of each show, according to various reports.

Earlier this month, Buffett and Miami Dolphins majority owner Stephen Ross announced that the NFL team had struck a naming rights deal with Buffett's Land Shark Lager, which is part of the singer/entrepreneur's "Margaritaville" brand line. The former Dolphin Stadium will be known as LandShark Stadium for the remainder of 2009, according to terms of the deal.
