Little Big Town fills out 'A Place to Land' trek

With its first national headlining run well underway, country outfit Little Big Town has added more summer and fall dates to its "A Place to Land Tour."

The Grammy-nominated quartet, which kicked off the US trek in January, continues the roadwork June 12 in Nashville. The ambitious outing spans six months and touches down at fairs, festivals and amphitheaters in 46 cities from coast to coast. A four-date stretch across the Pacific Northwest alongside Keith Urban is also on the books (9/9-9/14). Details are below.

The vocal group--comprised of Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Phillip Sweet and Jimi Westbrook--is touring in support of its 2007 release, "A Place to Land." The band's third studio effort reached No. 10 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart and spawned the hit singles "I'm With the Band," "Fine Line" and "Good Lord Willing." All three tracks--along with three others--are streaming at the group's MySpace page.

The country foursome was recently nominated for two CMT Awards: Collaborative Video of the Year and CMT Performance of the Year for for "Life in a Northern Town." Fans can cast their vote via the CMT website. The results will be broadcast live June 16 at 7 p.m. CT.

Along with an upcoming performance June 12 at the CMA Festival in Nashville, LBT is also scheduled to perform at the Grand Ole Opry June 9 along with Carrie Underwood, Ricky Skaggs, Trace Adkins, Lorrie Morgan, The Charlie Daniels Band and others.
