Brand New maps summer dates ahead of new album

Indie-rockers Brand New will head out on the road this summer ahead of the anticipated release of their fourth and latest studio album.

The group kicks off the outing July 7 in Chicago and will hit nine cities on the mid-summer stretch, concluding with a July 19 show in San Diego, CA. Dates are below.

Brand New continues to support it's third album, 2006's "The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me." A few songs from the record, including the single "Sowing Season," are streaming at the band's MySpace
page.

The group started its own record label, Procrastinate! Music Traitors, in 2008, and began work on material for a new album. The first act signed to the new label was New York singer/songwriter Kevin Devine, a longtime Brand New associate.

In April, the band announced on its website that it had "started the mixing process" for the forthcoming album with Dave Sardy (Rage Against the Machine, Nine Inch Nails), and that the group was aiming to release the set this summer.
