AthFest shifts venue locations
AthFest has moved one of its locations for this weekend's festival from the Georgia Theatre to the Morton Theatre, located in downtown Athens, according to a press release. The Georgia Theatre, one of the 17 venues participating in the annual music and arts festival, suffered damage in a June 19 fire, forcing the move.
All of the bands that were scheduled to perform at the Georgia Theatre will perform on the same scheduled evening. The line-up and set times can be found at the event website.
AthFest, which kicks off Friday (6/26) evening, is scheduled to go forward rain or shine, according to organizers. In the event of rain, two indoor festivals locations--the Morton Theatre and The 40 Watt Club--will attempt to accommodate as many festival acts as possible.
