Veteran rockers Aerosmith have scrapped a couple more shows on their current tour schedule due to frontman Steven Tyler’s leg injury, making the month of July thus far a total wash for the group.
The latest casualties on the band’s in-progress itinerary are this past Saturday's (7/11) show in Tampa and tonight's (7/13) originally planned stop in the Ft. Lauderdale area, bringing to seven the total number of shows the band has postponed this month.
Currently, the tour is scheduled to resume Wednesday (7/15) in Atlanta. The itinerary is included below.
As previously reported, Aerosmith also pulled the plug on early July shows in Cincinnati; Hershey, Pa; Virginia Beach, VA; Raleigh, NC; and Charlotte, NC. The group currently plans to schedule make-up dates for all of the postponed shows, according to its website.
During an interview last week with New Hampshire radio station Rock 101 WGIR, Aerosmith drummer Joey Kramer--who currently is promoting a new autobiography titled "Hit Hard"--said that the injury from which Tyler is recovering is a ripped a quadriceps muscle.
