Southern California punk rockers Social Distortion have expanded their North American summer tour, tacking on another two months worth of shows.
The punk icons, who kicked off the outing last Friday (7/17) in Seattle, continue the run tomorrow night in Edmonton, Alberta. Since last check, 18 dates have been added to the end of the itinerary, extending the excursion into mid-October. The club and theater run concludes Oct. 17 in Atlantic City. Details are included below.
Civet, Tat and The Strangers will provide opening support for the summer road trip.
The band's most recent new material--"Sex, Love and Rock 'N' Roll"--surfaced in 2004, though founder and frontman Mike Ness, who dropped two solo records in 1999, confirmed last year that a new Social D album was forthcoming, as well as a possible new solo effort.
Earlier this year, Atom Willard--formerly of The Offspring and Angels & Airwaves--replaced long-time drummer Charlie "Chalo" Quintana, who left the band in May.
