
Marilyn Manson , whose new album “Holy Wood” (Nothing/Interscope) hits stores next week, has added five more U.S. stops to his current tour itinerary, according to his official website. Tickets for the new shows go on sale to the general public on Saturday (11/11), but an Internet pre-sale for several of the new dates is set for Wednesday (11/08).
The Guns, Gods and Government tour--which previously had dates scheduled until a Dec. 9 performance in Pittsburgh--now features a Dec. 11 stop in Peoria, Ill.; Dec. 12 in Omaha, Neb.; Dec. 13 in Wichita, Kan.; Dec. 15 in San Antonio, Texas; and Dec. 16 in Dallas. Tickets for the Pittsburgh, Peoria, Omaha, San Antonio and Dallas shows will be available on Wednesday (11/08) via a special Internet pre-sale. All six shows go on sale to the general public on Saturday (11/11), according to Manson’s official website.
In addition to the five new U.S. dates, Manson has also added the first batch of European dates to his outing, all of which take place next year. The six new Euro dates begin with a Jan. 25 performance in Paris, and comprise subsequent stops in Germany, the Czech Republic and Denmark. A Feb. 17 stop in Norway is the last date on the tour’s current itinerary.
Tickets for all of the European dates are already on sale, according to Manson’s official website.
In related Manson tour news, the first night of his two-night stand at Philadelphia’s Electric Factory Ballroom is sold out, according to his site.
The tour got underway in Minnesota on Oct. 27, and continues Monday night (11/06) in Charlotte, N.C.
“Holy Wood” is set for release on Nov. 14, and features the single “Disposable Teens." The song is currently No. 25 on trade publication Radio & Records’ active rock chart, which measures national radio airplay. The video for the song is in rotation on MTV. Manson himself is scheduled to appear on MTV’s “Total Request Live” on Nov. 15.
