311 prepares for album release and Warped Tour outing

Alt-rock act 311 has completed its next album and plans to release it this summer. The group is also readying for its five-week run at the top of this summer’s annual Warped Tour roster as it plots a subsequent headlining U.S. tour.

“From Chaos,” 311’s sixth studio record, is due in stores on June 19, according to 311’s official website. The disc will contain 12 new tracks that, according to the group’s website, range from “high energized rock to groovin' melodic gems.”

The CD version of “From Chaos” will be an enhanced CD that will also feature exclusive interview footage, videos and photos.

Three days after the new album arrives in stores, 311 will hit the road as part of the 2001 Warped tour outing. The group is scheduled to appear on the tour from its June 22 kick-off through July 29.

The Warped Tour itself, meanwhile, is scheduled to run until August 12, and will also feature Rollins Band, Pennywise, New Found Glory, Less Than Jake and others. Venues have been confirmed for almost all of the outing’s stops, and tickets for many dates are on sale now.
