Rod Stewart , who last month announced the initial dates of a summer tour, has since lined up more than 40 North American stops that will keep the veteran singer on the road through mid-August. Stewart is touring in support of his recently released album, “Human.”
Tickets to all of Stewart’s performances are on sale now, according to promoter SFX Entertainment.
Stewart’s “Human” was released in February, and features the single “I Can’t Deny It,” which peaked at No. 33 on Billboard’s Adult Top 40 singles chart last month.
“Human” was originally planned for release last November, but was delayed when Stewart was forced to undergo thyroid surgery after doctors detected cancer. The surgery left him unable to sing for several months.
"They literally, you know, cut you right through the throat," Stewart said during a Feb. 7 promotional appearance on ABC’s “Good Morning.”
“[It] just took a bit of time ... before the voice got back,” he continued, “and as you can hear, it's not properly back yet, but it will [be]. Just needs to be re-trained.”
The singer went on to say that performing live with his band was helping him make great strides in getting his voice back in shape.
