Tim McGraw 's eighth annual Swampstock, to benefit regional youth organizations, is set for Oct. 28 at the Tim McGraw Sports Complex in Rayville, La. Performers include McGraw, his wife Faith Hill , Martina McBride , Carolyn Dawn Johnson and the Warren Bros.
Swampstock 2001 also features a celebrity softball challenge and a silent auction. Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre is among the players who have signed up for the game.
Tickets go on sale on Monday (10/1), and are $15 in advance, or $25 at the gate. Children ages 6 and younger are admitted free.
In this year's CMA awards competition, McGraw is up for Album of the Year ("Set This Circus Down"), Male Vocalist and Entertainer of the Year. The ceremony will air on CBS on Nov. 7.
McGraw’s summer tour, which wrapped up in late August, was the highest-grossing country jaunt of 2001, according to his publicist. With gross receipts of more than $25 million, the tour topped the George Strait Country Music Festival and Brooks and Dunn’s Neon Circus tour. Last year, McGraw and Hill's "Soul 2 Soul Tour" ranked No. 1, according to Pollstar.
