Michael Jackson, 'NSync, Backstreet Boys among performers for D.C. benefit

Michael Jackson, Mick Jagger, 'NSync, Backstreet Boys , Aerosmith, KISS, Ricky Martin, James Brown, Al Green and Aaron Carter will perform as part of United We Stand, an Oct. 21 benefit at Washington, D.C.'s RFK Stadium. The eight-hour concert will raise money to support recovery efforts in the wake of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

Other acts will be announced as they are confirmed, according to event producer Clear Channel Entertainment. Tickets to the benefit will go on sale on Friday. The on-sale time and ticket prices are to be announced.

All money raised from United We Stand will benefit the American Red Cross Relief Fund, the Pentagon Relief Fund and the Salvation Army Relief Fund, according to Clear Channel.

Clear Channel is also producing the Oct. 20 Concert for New York at New York's Madison Square Garden and the Oct. 21 Country Freedom Concert in Nashville.
