The band is expected to follow the stint with a U.S. tour. A November-December tour of the U.S. was canceled after the wife of percussionist Shawn Crahan underwent emergency surgery for treatment of Crohn's Disease.

Members of Destiny's Child [ tickets ] told E! News Daily that the trio plans to take an indefinite hiatus after fulfilling its Asian and European concert commitments, which currently run through May of 2002 . "I think the great thing about us doing this is we will all have to develop individually," the group's Beyoncé Knowles said.

Metallica frontman James Hetfield has completed his stint in rehab, and will rejoin the band in the studio in January. "My music and lyrics have always been good therapy for me," Hetfield said in a statement on the band's official website. "Without this God-given gift I don't know where I'd be. And now I truly feel the impact and connection it's made with others."

A laryngitis-stricken Alanis Morissette didn't sing during her four-song set at a radio festival at Boston's FleetCenter on Monday night (12/3), according to the Boston Globe. Barenaked Ladies handled vocals on two of the songs, and Morissette invited fans to take the stage and sing on the other two.
