Janet Jackson will play 10 U.S. dates in early 2002, according to her management. Tickets for three of the shows--in Louisville, Ky., Champaign, Ill., and Wilkes Barre, Pa.--will go on sale on Saturday (12/8). The full itinerary couldn't be confirmed by press time.
Slipknot is scheduled to embark on a European tour early next year. A full itinerary is posted on the band's official website.
The band is expected to follow the stint with a U.S. tour. A November-December tour of the U.S. was canceled after the wife of percussionist Shawn Crahan underwent emergency surgery for treatment of Crohn's Disease.
Members of Destiny's Child told E! News Daily that the trio plans to take an indefinite hiatus after fulfilling its Asian and European concert commitments, which currently run through May of 2002 . "I think the great thing about us doing this is we will all have to develop individually," the group's Beyoncé Knowles said.
Metallica frontman James Hetfield has completed his stint in rehab, and will rejoin the band in the studio in January. "My music and lyrics have always been good therapy for me," Hetfield said in a statement on the band's official website. "Without this God-given gift I don't know where I'd be. And now I truly feel the impact and connection it's made with others."
