The Jan. 9 rerun of Michael Jackson's 30th anniversary special on CBS will feature new footage, including Jackson's duet with Britney Spears on "The Way You Make Me Feel" and a performance with Lil' Romeo, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Marilyn Manson will escape felony charges in connection with an incident that took place during a July 30 concert in Clarkston, Mich. Manson is accused of, among other things, "rubbing his genital area" on a security guard's head and neck.
Manson's charges were reduced on Friday (12/28) from felony fourth degree sexual assault and battery to disorderly conduct and assault and battery. Each charge carries a $2,000 fine, and Manson has 30 days to enter a plea.
Barry Manilow has rescheduled three performances at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles because he is ill with severe bronchitis, according to a press release. His shows scheduled for Friday (12/28), Saturday (12/29) and Sunday (12/30) have been rescheduled, respectively, for Jan. 4, 5 and 6.
His New Year's Eve concert will go on as planned.
The Los Angeles studio of producer and DJ BT--whose real name is Brian Transeau--was robbed over the Christmas break, according to the BT Network website. "Everything is gone," said a posting on the site. "Brian's computers, synths, hard drives, etc. were stolen. Most of album #4 is missing. He didn't have any off-site backups."
Country singer Terri Clark has begun work on her fifth album. Byron Gallimore (Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Jo Dee Messina) is producing the CD, which is tentatively scheduled for release in the fall.
MCA Nashville will issue an expanded version of Steve Earle's 1986 album "Guitar Town" on Jan. 29. This version will include the albums original 10 tracks, new liner notes written by Earle, and a live cover of Bruce Springsteen's "State Trooper."
