String Cheese Incident , which recently announced plans for its annual Winter Carnival, has now mapped out a subsequent U.S. road trip dubbed the Spring Cheese tour. The outing kicks off in early April.
Tickets for the renowned jam band's spring jaunt are scheduled for release on Feb. 21, according to a spokesperson, and will be available through the group's SCI Ticketing service.
Opening acts appearing on various dates during the Spring Cheese tour include Tenacious D, Keller Williams and Ozomatli. Details appear in the itinerary below.
String Cheese Incident plans to record all of its performances on the Spring Cheese tour for use in an experimental "On the Road" series, which will comprise a three-disc release from each show. In order to purchase a recording, fans must pre-order the three-disc set for the show that they are attending at the time that they purchase concert tickets, according to details posted at the band's official website.
If the "On the Road" venture is successful, the group may continue this practice during future outings.
Late next month, the Colorado-based band will launch its annual Winter Carnival, which features performances in Denver, Vail and Telluride. Tickets for the event are already on sale, and can also be purchased through SCI Ticketing.
