Following an extensive late-winter European tour, Madison, WI, rock outfit Garbage will tour throughout North America in April and May. The band's third album, "Beautifulgarbage" (Almo/Interscope), debuted at No. 13 on the Billboard album chart on its release in October 2001.
Absent from band's early winter European dates (after opening for U2 in the U.S.) was band co-founder Butch Vig, who was diagnosed with hepatitis A and ordered to rest. Vig, known for his production work with Nirvana and Smashing Pumpkins, is expected to play U.S. tour dates along with Shirley Manson, Steve Marker and Duke Erikson.
The band is also confirmed to play this year's prestigious Roskilde Festival in Denmark, June 28.
