Rap/rock pioneers Korn , fronted by Jonathan Davis, have unveiled North American tour dates for an outing this summer to coincide with the band’s fifth album, “Untouchables.” Set to begin in Wilkes-Barre, PA, the tour follows dates in Central and South America with Static-X. Venues will be announced soon.
The band has reportedly pulled out all the stops, hiring Swiss artist H.R. Giger (the man behind the creatures in “Alien” and “Species”) to create a special mic stand for the tour. Additionally, “Here to Stay,” the first single from “Untouchables,” boasts a video directed by the Hughes Brothers.
Korn debuted in 1994, and toured to fame supporting Ozzy Osbourne, Megadeth and Marilyn Manson. The band’s most recent album, 1999’s “Issues,” was a concept album about Davis’s problems with addiction.
