Chris Isaak has assembled a busy summer tour schedule that gets underway shortly after he wraps production on the third season of the Showtime television series that bears his name.
The rockabilly-inspired singer-songwriter has so far lined up more than two dozen concert dates between June and August, most of which are set to take place at outdoor venues on the East and West coasts.
Isaak released his eighth album, "Always Got Tonight," in February of 2002.
In recent years, the Showtime series "The Chris Isaak Show"--dubbed by the cable network as "part comedy and part reality"--has cut into some of Isaak's stage time. The series features Isaak and his real-life band members--Kenney Dale Johnson (drums), Hershel Yatovitz (guitar) and Rowland Salley (bass)--and an ensemble of created characters.
Showtime recently announced that musical guest stars on the upcoming season will inlude Gloria Estefan, Michelle Branch, Bret Michaels and Blake Shelton. Oakland Athletics pitcher Barry Zito will also make an appearance.
The new season of "The Chris Isaak Show" is scheduled to wrap production in June, and the first of 13 new episodes is slated to premiere in the fourth quarter of 2003.
