Zwan --the new group led by ex-Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan--has canceled the remaining dates on its current European tour.
According to a press release issued by the band's label, the cancellations were "due to family matters."
On Wednesday's (6/10) edition of the CBS Morning Show, Smash Mouth performed its new single, "You're My Number One," with Ranking Roger. The song was co-written by the band and Neil Diamond.
The group's forthcoming album, "Get the Picture," is due on Aug. 5.
Doobie Brothers alumnus Michael McDonald issues a new album, "Motown," on June 24. It features his interpretations of Motown classics including "I Believe," "Ain't Nothing Like the Real Thing," and "I Heard It Through the Grapevine."
On Sept. 9, Dualtone Records will release "Wildwood Flower," a new album that June Carter Cash recorded shortly before
Carlos Manuel Pruneda, leader of the popular Cuban music group Carlos Manuel and his Clan, has defected and was granted asylum in South Texas, according to published reports. He reportedly took a taxi from Monterrey, Mexico to the U.S. border and then turned himself in to authorities.
