Sense Field, Hey Mercedes to co-headline club tour

Sense Field and Hey Mercedes have teamed up for a national co-headlining tour that is slated to kick off on Aug. 1 in Lawrence, KS.

The groups will trade off headlining duties. Openers Damone (named after a character in "Fast Times at Ridgemont High") and Soundtrak will swap slots as well, exchanging opening dates throughout the trip.

The rock band Sense Field will release "Living Outside" on Sept. 22. The first single, "I Refuse" has had airplay on Chicago's Q101, San Francisco's Live 105, San Diego's 91X and Seattle's The End. Sense Field scored a hit in 2002 with the single "Save Yourself" from the album "Tonight & Forever," released in 2001.

Chicago-bred emo-popsters Hey Mercedes send a new album titled "Loses Control" to stores on Sept. 2.
