Terri Clark road trip rolls on as Canadian CMA nominations roll in

Montreal native Terri Clark continues her lengthy road trip into October, including stops at the Canadian Country Music Association Awards in Calgary in September and the U.S. CMA awards show in November.

Clark is nominated for five awards in the Canadian CMA ceremony: Fans' Choice Entertainer of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year, CMT
Video of the Year, Album of the Year for her current release "Pain To Kill" and Single of the year for "I Just Wanna Be Mad." Clark is up against fellow Canadian Shania Twain in every category.

Nominations for the U.S. CMA's will be announced on Aug 26.

"Pain To Kill" debuted at #5 on the Billboard Country Album Chart in January and "I Just Wanna Be Mad" is the sole country single by a female artist to hit #1 in 71 weeks, according to Clark's publicist.

Clark's tour takes advantage of the fair and festival season, staying outdoors in most cities. While on the road, she's starting up publicity efforts behind her first book, "Phases & Stages: The Terri Clark Journals." The book is due in bookstores in September.
