Singer-songwriter Jason Mraz is augmenting his headlining tour with appearances at a series of December radio-station festivals.
Mraz has headlining shows booked through the end of November, and also opens for Jonny Lang in Las Vegas and Phoenix on Wednesday (11/5) and Thursday (11/6), respectively.
Subsequent shows--mostly at multi-act radio-station festivals--stretch into mid-December. Details appear in the itinerary below.
On Dec. 20, PBS will air a performance that Mraz and his band recently taped for the network's live-music program "Austin City Limits."
"You know you've made it when you're on that show," Mraz said in a journal entry posted at his website. "There aren't too many music-based programs where all you get is music. Nowadays they throw in all these reality-style angles and interviews and actors and hot hosts. It's an honor to be invited to play somewhere where they actually care to hear more than just your currently radio friendly single."
Mraz continues to pound the pavement behind his October 2002 debut, "Waiting for My Rocket to Come," which features the cuts "You and I" and "The Remedy (I Won't Worry)." Mraz's website features streaming video and audio versions of both tracks.
