Gavin DeGraw lines up first club tour, support dates for Barenaked Ladies

Singer-songwriter Gavin DeGraw , who emerged from the Manhattan club scene to issue his first album in July, opens 2004 with a headlining tour that leads up to a stint in support of Barenaked Ladies.

DeGraw's inaugural headlining jaunt runs Jan. 17 through Feb. 7, and focuses mostly on the club circuit east of the Mississippi. From there, he'll open a three-week stretch of arena dates for Canadian pop-rockers Barenaked Ladies.

DeGraw will also be on the bill of this spring's Virgin College Tour--along with Maroon 5 and Joe Firstman--but dates for that outing haven't been confirmed.

J Records is shooting to have "I Don't Wanna Be"--the second single from DeGraw's debut, "Chariot"--added to radio-station playlists on Feb. 9. The single also is the theme song for the WB television network series "One Tree Hill."

Three of the 11 tracks from "Chariot"--on which the 26-year-old artist plays guitar and piano--are streaming at DeGraw's official website.
