Linkin Park puts finishing touches on North American tour itinerary

Linkin Park --which next month heads out on a U.S. run that also features P.O.D., Hoobastank and Story of the Year --has locked down the outing's remaining dates and venues.

Venues have now been confirmed for the tour's February stop in Dallas and five March dates for which venues had previously been listed as "To be announced." Additionally, the group has juggled its March dates slightly, dropping a planned stop in Pensacola, FL, and replacing it with a Lexington, KY, engagement. Details appear in the itinerary below.

Tickets for most of the tour dates are on sale now to the general public. Members of Linkin Park's official fan club, LP Underground, still have first crack at tickets for shows not yet available to the general public via online pre-sales. Additional information is posted at the group's website.

The run, which kicks off in mid-January, backs Linkin Park's November release, "Live in Texas," as well as the group's most-recent studio set, "Meteora," which surfaced in March. The album features the cut "Session," which is up for Best Rock Instrumental Performance at next year's GRAMMY® awards; the song also turns up on the "Matrix Reloaded" soundtrack.

P.O.D. released its latest set, "Payable on Death," early last month, while Hoobastank offered up its sophomore effort, "The Reason," on Dec. 9. Story of the Year dropped its inaugural album, "Page Avenue," in mid-September.

Linkin Park's website features a streaming-audio jukebox, dubbed the Meteora World Tour Player, which is streaming cuts from all of the bands on the bill.
