Spring tour on the horizon for Aerosmith and Cheap Trick

Aerosmith enlists Cheap Trick for a 40-city North American run that supports the Boston-based group's forthcoming album, "Honkin' on Bobo."

The classic-rock vets hit the road in mid-March, and dates stretch into late June. Details appear in the itinerary below; tour promoter Clear Channel Entertainment has not yet revealed venues for the outing.

Aerosmith's set list for the upcoming tour will include hits from throughout its 30-year career, as well as material from "Honkin' on Bobo," which is due to arrive in stores sometime this spring, according to a press release. The new album--which the group has described as a "blues type album"--follows the band's 2001 release, "Just Push Play."

Last July, Cheap Trick released "Special One," which is the group's first new studio set since 1997.

Before setting out on tour, Aerosmith will headline the upcoming Super Bowl XXXVIII pre-game show at Houston's Reliant Stadium on Feb. 1.

Aerosmith, which released its self-titled debut in 1973, has sold more than 100 million albums worldwide, according to a press release.
