The Who will perform the rock opera "Tommy" at London's Royal Albert Hall on March 29, during a week of shows that will benefit the Teenage Cancer Trust.
"Teenagers with cancer are still discriminated against by [Britain's National Health Service]," frontman Roger Daltrey said in a statement. "It is my mission, through these shows, to end this prejudice. Without teenagers, there would be no pop industry and it is about time they are recognized by the NHS as the distinct group of people that they are."
Stereophonics, Tom Jones, Jools Holland, David Gilmour, Sam Brown, Solomon Burke, Marc Almond, Mica Paris and Ruby Turner are also scheduled to perform benefit shows during the same week. More details are available at the Teenage Cancer Trust website.
OutKast 's two-CD set "Speakerboxxx/The Love Below," which dropped from the top spot to No. 3 on last week's Billboard 200 album chart , rebounds to spend its 6th week at No. 1 this week, according to industry sources. About 97,000 copies of the album sold during the its most recent week in stores, and 3.4 million copies have sold in all.
Clocking in at No. 2 is "The Very Best of Sheryl Crow," which jumps four slots. "The Diary of Alicia Keys falls one place to No. 3, and Toby Keith's "Shock'N Y'all" moves up one notch to No. 4.
Josh Groban's "Closer," which was last week's No. 1 album, falls to No. 5.
Country singer Chris Cagle won't appear on the upcoming Rascal Flatts tour because he needs "extreme vocal rest," according to a press release.
According to Cagle's publicist, his doctor has ordered him to avoid singing and speaking through June 1. His prognosis for a full recovery is said to be good.
Cledus T. Judd will take Cagle's place on the bill, according to Rascal Flatts' camp.
The Cure will headline the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on May 2, organizers announced. As previously reported, Radiohead will headline on May 1, a day that will also feature The Pixies and Kraftwerk.
Tickets will go on sale on Feb. 14, according to a press release.
Cypress Hill will release a new album titled "Till Death Do Us Part"--its first in three years--on March 23. The album's first single, "What's Your Number," will be released in February.
