New dates carry Kid Rock's tour through the summer

Kid Rock , who launched his latest round of tour dates last week, is now set to remain on the road until October.

The outing, which focuses on the U.S. amphitheater circuit, will feature Puddle of Mudd in the opening slot for most of June; details are in the itinerary below.

The Detroit rocker continues to back his self-titled 2003 release, which hit stores late last year. The album, which is the follow-up to 2001's "Cocky," features his cover of Bad Company's "Feel Like Makin' Love."

"Kid Rock" features his longtime band, Twisted Brown Trucker--guitarists Kenny Olson and Jason Krause, keyboardist Jimmie Bones and drummer Stefanie Eulinberg--as well as guest musicians Kenny Wayne Shepherd, David McMurray, ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons, Hank Williams Jr. and Sheryl Crow.

For this weekend's Coca-Cola 600 NASCAR race in North Carolina, the Chevrolet Monte Carlo driven by Tony Stewart was emblazoned with artwork based on the cover of "Kid Rock," marking the first run of the "Kid Rock edition" of the car. Stewart, who was the 2002 NASCAR Winston Cup Champion, finished ninth in the race.
