Dates continue to trickle in for Jay-Z and R. Kelly 's upcoming Best of Both Worlds co-headlining tour, tickets for which hit the box office this weekend.
The duo has confirmed the Chicago area's Allstate Arena as the venue for the tour's Sept. 30 kick-off, and tickets for that show go on sale Friday (8/27).
Meanwhile, additional stops have been added in Columbus, OH; Cleveland; Buffalo, NY; and Memphis. Tickets for those shows--as well as previously announced dates in Cincinnati; Baltimore; Greensboro, NC; Nashville; Uniondale, NY; and East Rutherford, NJ--go on sale Saturday (8/28).
The up-to-date itinerary as of press time is shown below. The tour is expected to hit more than 40 cities, according to organizers.
Jay-Z's Roc-A-Fella Records is offering ticket pre-sales for all of the shows. Details are posted at Roc-A-Fella's website.
Jay-Z continues to support last year's "The Black Album," an album he has said will be his last. The rapper recently received six MTV Video Music Awards nominations for the cut "99 Problems"; the awards ceremony airs live on Sunday (8/29).
Kelly issued his latest album--a two-disc set titled "Happy People/U Saved Me"--on Tuesday (8/24). Videos for the tracks "Happy People" and "U Saved Me" are streaming at his website.
The singer, who faces charges of more than a dozen counts of child pornography in Illinois, had to receive permission from a judge to set out on the tour. He reportedly will have to make daily check-in calls to his probation officer while on the road.
In addition to his own catalog of hits, Kelly has written and/or produced for Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Kelly Price, Janet Jackson, Michael Jackson, Toni Braxton, Mary J. Blige, Maxwell, Jennifer Lopez, Britney Spears and others.
