As the release date of their second joint album nears, Jay-Z and R. Kelly have unveiled more dates for their current co-headlining tour.
The duo has confirmed several November concerts, including stops in Miami, Tampa, Atlanta, Boston, Detroit and Anaheim, CA, and has also added a third show at New York City's Madison Square Garden. Details are shown below.
Registered members of Jay-Z's Roc-A-Fella Records website will be able to participate in an online presale for a number of the new shows. Details are available at the site.
On Oct. 26, Jay-Z and R. Kelly issue "Best of Both Worlds: Unfinished Business," the follow-up to their 2002 set, "Best of Both Worlds." The collection features 11 new tracks, including the lead-off singles "Big Chips" and "Don't Let Me Die," which hit radio stations this week.
Next month, Paramount Classics will release a new film titled "Fade to Black," which chronicles Jay-Z's performance at Madison Square Garden in November of 2003. The show featured guest appearances from Kelly, Beyonce, Mary J. Blige, Missy Elliott, Foxy Brown, Pharrell, ?uestlove and The Illadelphonics and others. The film is due in theaters on Nov. 5.
"I was on the biggest stage in the world, with some of the biggest stars in music, and we pulled off the perfect night," Jay-Z said in a statement. "This was the ultimate dream growing up in Brooklyn. I went from Marcy to Madison Square."
The Madison Square Garden show was part of Jay-Z's tour in support of last year's "The Black Album," which he has said will be his last solo set.
Kelly issued his latest solo album--a two-disc set titled "Happy People/U Saved Me"--in late August. Videos for the tracks "Happy People" and "U Saved Me" are streaming at his website.
