Big Head Todd & The Monsters have nailed down plans for a New Year's Eve celebration and a subsequent winter tour of the U.S.
The group plans to ring in the New Year with a Dec. 31 concert in Chicago, then starts 2005 with a weeklong oceanic adventure. Dubbed the Big Caribbean Cruise, the fan-oriented excursion--which runs from Jan. 9-16--will feature a meet and greet with the band and a private concert for passengers. More information is available at the Big Caribbean Cruise website.
After returning to dry land, the group will begin a U.S. tour on Feb. 9 in its hometown of Boulder, CO, and dates so far are set through late March. The itinerary appears below.
Big Head Todd & The Monsters' most recent studio set is "Crimes of Passion," which surfaced in February. The set followed last year's "Riviera," which marked the group's first new studio release in five years.
In August, the band issued "Big Head Todd & The Monsters Live at the Fillmore," which features footage culled from the group's March 19 and 20, 2004 shows at the famous San Francisco venue.
Also included on the disc is a documentary about life on the road with the band, as well as a behind-the-scenes look at the Fillmore and its archive of old concert posters and memorabilia.
