Modest Mouse pumps up 2005 tour plans

Alt-rockers Modest Mouse return to the road at the end of January to tackle a tour itinerary that continues to grow.

Since first announcing its winter tour plans last month, the group has more than doubled the size of the outing, extending the run into early March. Details are shown in the itinerary below.

Tickets for many shows are on sale now.

The roadwork is part of the Portland, OR-based group's continued support for its breakthrough album, "Good News for People Who Love Bad News," which hit stores in April. The platinum-certified set spawned the hit "Float On," and also features latest single "The Ocean Breathes Salty." Music videos for both cuts are streaming at Modest Mouse's website.

"Good News" is the follow-up to 2000's critically hailed "The Moon & Antarctica."

Fans looking for more new music from the group can snap up two cuts available exclusively at Apple's iTunes Music Store: "I've Got It All (Most)," which is the B-side to the "Float On" single, and an alternate version of "The Good Times are Killing Me."
