More Jimmy Buffett dates surface as tour launch nears

Two more April stops have been added to Jimmy Buffett 's winter/spring tour, a trek that opens next week in Columbia, SC.

New cities on Buffett's schedule include Santa Barbara, CA, and Honolulu; the full, 11-city itinerary is below. Tickets for most shows are on sale now.

Meanwhile, Chicago news outlets recently reported that Buffett has gained preliminary approval to play two Labor Day weekend concerts at the historic Windy City ballpark Wrigley Field, though those dates haven't been officially confirmed. City officials may introduce a measure next week that would permit the shows, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Buffett's latest album, last year's "License To Chill," features guest appearances by several country artists, including Kenny Chesney, George Strait and Toby Keith. Its debut single was a cover of Hank Williams' "Hey Good Lookin'," featuring Clint Black, Kenny Chesney, Toby Keith and George Strait. The follow-up single, "Trip Around the Sun" (featuring Martina McBride), recently became the album's second to top the CMT Top 20 list.

"License to Chill" follows the success of the CMA- and ACM-award winning "It's Five O'Clock Somewhere," a duet by Buffett and Alan Jackson that appeared on Jackson's 2003 best-of album.
