Minimalist art-rock duo The Kills [ tickets ] prides itself on its Warholian influences. It was the mutual love of the era that bonded Florida-bred Alison "VV" Mosshart (vocals/guitars) and U.K. native Jamie "Hotel" Hince (drums/vocals/guitar). The result is a sparse sound that leaves listeners feeling musically full. Its album, "No Wow," is due out March 8. --Christina Fuoco
