Mudvayne claims a slot on Ozzfest's main stage

Mudvayne , which appeared on the second stage at the 2001 edition of Ozzfest , will graduate to the main stage this year.

The group will be supporting its new album, "Lost and Found," which is due April 12. It's the follow-up to 2002's "The End of All Things to Come."

Mudvayne joins a main-stage lineup that already sports previously announced acts Black Sabbath , Iron Maiden , Killswitch Engage, Shadows Fall and Black Label Society. Mudvayne will perform prior to Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden, according to a press release.

Rob Zombie will headline the tour's Hot Topic Second Stage, and will be joined by fellow rockers As I Lay Dying, Mastodon, The Haunted, In Flames, Arch Enemy, The Black Dahlia Murder, Bury Your Dead, Soilwork, Trivium, It Dies Today, A Dozen Furies and others.

A Dozen Furies landed its second-stage slot by winning Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne's MTV "Battle for Ozzfest" reality show.

In addition to its lineup of hard-rock acts, Ozzfest has grown over the years to include many other attractions at its so-called "Village of the Damned," including tattoo artists, piercing booths, video games, vendors and more.
