Rockers Papa Roach , who've been touring the U.S. since mid-February, have extended their run deep into the spring.
The group's itinerary now stretches into late May, and also includes a lone July date in Hawaii. The itinerary is included below.
The Northern California-based quartet is backing last September's "Getting Away with Murder," which sold about 50,000 copies during its first week out and debuted at No. 17 on The Billboard 200 album chart. The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) recently gold-certified the set, signifying U.S. shipment of 500,000 copies.
"We knew what we had to do on this record," frontman Jacoby Shaddix said in a statement. "... I'd say with this album, particularly vocally, I wanted to set out and prove myself as a solid rock n' roll singer. "… We just wanted it to be to the point--the catchiest rock songs that we could write, without being pompous or sounding overboard. This is probably the most pop stuff we’ve written, but it's just kind of where our band is."
"Getting Away With Murder" has spawned two singles: the title track--which Apple's iTunes Music Store crowned one of 2004's Top 10 rock songs--and "Scars." A third cut, titled "Take Me," hits radio stations this week, and plans are in the works to shoot a music video for the song, according to Papa Roach's website.
